The P 1000 and P3000 filter cartridges are based on activated carbon and ion exchange resin technology. It reduces limescale for better tasting tea and coffee, cooking healthy food and protecting domestic appliances. To guarantee the best possible filtration result, tap water should only come in contact with high quality materials like stainless steel and specifically developed synthetics, which are used in BRITA Taps and dispensers.

The lifetime of the P 1000 and P 3000 filter cartridge depends on local water hardness as well as on individual water consumption. For optimal filtration performance, change the filter cartridge on a regular basis. Features like the new integrated Cartridge Status Indicator or a time counter remind you when to change the filter cartridge.
A BRITA Tap replaces your existing kitchen tap and allows you to get cleaner, clearer great-tasting BRITA filtered water at the turn of a lever. All BRITA Taps are equipped with separate levers for regular hot and cold tap water and BRITA filtered water. Therefore you only use BRITA filtered water if you want to. A BRITA Tap is the most convenient and place saving solution for everybody who wants to enjoy BRITA filtered water.
The Cartridge Status Indicator integrated in the lever of the BRITA Tap shows your individual cartridge status based on local water hardness and individual water consumption. Each time filtered water is dispensed, it will light up either green, yellow or red.
Green light: Filter cartridge is working at optimum performance
Yellow light: Filter Cartridge capacity at 10%, get replacement soon
Red light: Filter cartridge needs to be replaced

The P 1000 filters taste and odour impairing impurities like chlorine, small particles as well as lead and copper. It reduces limescale for great tasting hot drinks, cooking healthy food and protecting domestic appliances. Each P 1000 cartridge can filter up to 1200 L water at maximum; Each P 3000 cartridge can filter up to 3400 L water at maximum up to 12 months. The lifespan of the cartridge is dependent on the BRITA system and water condition.
Yes. It's very easy and can be done within minutes in just four steps:
1. Unlock cartridge using two blue levers on side of cartridge head. No need to turn off your mains water, because there is an automatic shut off valve within the cartridge head,
2. Release pressure using the flush valve. After pressure release, don‘t forget to close valve again.
3. Pull old cartridge out and replace with a new one.
4. Lock the cartridge in place. You are good to go!

The effects of using an exhausted cartridge: limescale build-up in your kettle, scum on top of your tea or coffee. To guarantee cleaner, clearer, great-tasting BRITA filtered water it is important to change the cartridge regularly.
BRITA Taps can be retro-fitted to majority of sinks or worktops, requiring only a standard 35mm single hole. No additional plumbing or holes needed. The filter cartridge is small and does not require much space under the sink. It can be installed horizontally or vertically.

The On Line Active Plus System provides you with a separate dispenser, installed next to your existing kitchen tap. It allows you to have BRITA filtered water at the turn of a lever. Whenever you want, instantly and as much as you need. The On Line Active Plus System uses the P 1000 or P 3000 filter cartridge for better taste and odour and limescale reduction.
Based on average consumption it will last 4 months.The exact time depends on your water consumption and water hardness. The BRITA electronic cartridge exchange indicator shows you when to exchange the cartridge:
Blue Light: Filter cartridge working at optimum performance
Red Light: Maximum time or volume reached, filter cartridge needs to be replaced
